This guy proved a soul had weight. I wish doctors would redo this experiment because its so interesting, but the catholic church doesn’t approve.
He weighed people and animals as they died. Only humans changed weight.

Of course, this isn’t as true as Hollywood and storybooks would have you believe. While Dr. Macdougall did, in fact, weigh people as they died (which is both creepy and odd), this wouldn’t get approved by any scientific review board today.
The 21 grams? If you weigh, say 150 pounds, 21 grams is statistically insignificant. It’s 0.03% of body mass. If you don’t believe me, go weigh yourself 10 times, even 100 times. Does it vary by less than 21 grams?
And if you still don’t believe me, listen to the first 5 minutes of this episode of Radiolab, because you can’t argue with Jad and Robert:
